CHC30113 Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education & Care

The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) is an independent national authority, based in Sydney. One of ACECQA’s many roles is to educate and inform the wider community about the importance of improving outcomes in children’s education and care. We also provide governments, the sector and families with access to the most current research to ensure the National Quality Framework (NQF) policy and service delivery is in line with best practice across the country.

ACECQA guides the implementation of the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care nationally and ensures consistency in delivery.

The National Quality Framework (NQF) is the result of an agreement between all Australian governments to work together to provide better educational and developmental outcomes for children using education and care services.
The NQF introduces a new quality standard to improve education and care across long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten, and outside school hours care.

Quality Areas

The seven quality areas covered by the National Quality Standard are:

  • Educational program and practice
  • Children’s health and safety
  • Physical environment
  • Staffing arrangement
  • Relationships with children
  • Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
  • Leadership and service management

This traineeship is designed to give a basic understanding of the requirements to work in the early childhood sector.

The traineeship is aimed to provide skills in order for the trainees to work within their scope of practice as Certificate III Educators in maintaining the National Quality Standards.

  • Provide a safe and secure environment for children

  • Assist staff with conducting and supervising 
children’s activities

  • Assist in planning, preparing material and setting
 up play environment

  • CHCECE010Support the holistic development of children in early childhood

     

  • CHCECE011 Provide experiences to support children’s play and learning
